My name is Dawnell, I was born at Ellsworth AFB in 1969. Yes, I was what some call us “a military brat”. I have two younger brothers who are twins. We had fun growing up together, moving around every three years you learn to be each others friends when you are younger.

In 2002 I took the plunge and married my soul mate. We were married a very short time when he had to leave for 2 years to serve out his last 2 years in the Navy. During that time our relationship grew, and we became more aware of how important communication really is when you are married. I can tell him anything (and I do most of the time).

Currently we are in the process of adopting a 14 year old boy. The adoption will be finalized before Halloween. We had a bunch of set backs with paperwork getting sent back and with the system being so busy… But we got the final paperwork.. and a date is set.
